Freestone County Game Wardens

Body
“We have received multiple calls about wild turkeys being spotted in the county. TPWD released turkeys in our area in the recent past to establish a population here. It seems like it is working. You may come across some turkeys like these in the photo that was taken in Freestone County. You may notice that some of these turkeys don’t seem skittish right now and that is because of the rut. Just know that there is NOT a turkey season for Freestone County and you CANNOT harvest one of these birds if you see them. Just let them be.” - Freestone County Game Wardens Courtesy Photo
