Booster Club Golf Tournament

Six Lady Eagles are heading to the Regional Track Meet to compete in seven events this Friday and Saturday, April 1920, at Midway High School after advancing from the Area Track Meet last Friday, April 12, at McGregor High School. Overall, Fairfield placed second at the Area Meet.

The Fairfield Eagles defeated Westwood and fell to Franklin this past week to move to 15-8 overall and 6-5 in district play. On Thursday night April 11, Fairfield hosted the Westwood Panthers.

The Fairfield Lady Eagles defeated Westwood and fell to Franklin this past week to move to 13-12 overall and 6-6 in district play. On Thursday, April 11, the Lady Eagles traveled to Westwood and brought home a 16-5 road win in five innings over the Lady Panthers.

As an outdoors writer for the past 39 years, I’ve become accustomed to ‘Gallavanting” around the country fishing, hunting and collecting material for my articles. Lately though, I’ve been sticking pretty close to home.

The Fairfield Lady Eagles continue to shine. Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity won the District 20-3A Meet held on April 3-4 in Fairfield.

The Fairfield Eagles picked up two much needed wins over Teague and Buffalo this past week to move to 14-7 overall and 5-4 in district play. Fairfield hosted Teague on Tuesday, April 2, and took a 6-3 home win over the Lions.

The Fairfield Lady Eagles fell to Teague and defeated Buffalo this past week to move to 12-11 overall and 5-5 in district play. On Tuesday night, April 2, the Lady Eagles traveled to Teague and lost 11-8.

Two teams and two individuals from the Bi-Stone Region are headed to the Region III-Class 3A golf tournament after finishing as either a second-place team or top two non-qualifying team individual. The Fairfield boys and girls teams, Groesbeck’s Johnny Howard and Teague’s Grayson Dancer each earned their region tournament berths in the final round of the District 20-3A Tournament Monday at Tri-County Golf Club in Teague.
