Lady Eagles 2nd in Area Meet, advance 6 to Regionals

Six Lady Eagles are heading to the Regional Track Meet to compete in seven events this Friday and Saturday, April 1920, at Midway High School after advancing from the Area Track Meet last Friday, April 12, at McGregor High School. Overall, Fairfield placed second at the Area Meet.

Lady Eagles beat Westwood, fall to Franklin

The Fairfield Lady Eagles defeated Westwood and fell to Franklin this past week to move to 13-12 overall and 6-6 in district play. On Thursday, April 11, the Lady Eagles traveled to Westwood and brought home a 16-5 road win in five innings over the Lady Panthers.

Eagles beat Teague, Buffalo

The Fairfield Eagles picked up two much needed wins over Teague and Buffalo this past week to move to 14-7 overall and 5-4 in district play. Fairfield hosted Teague on Tuesday, April 2, and took a 6-3 home win over the Lions.

Area golfers heading to region tourney

Two teams and two individuals from the Bi-Stone Region are headed to the Region III-Class 3A golf tournament after finishing as either a second-place team or top two non-qualifying team individual. The Fairfield boys and girls teams, Groesbeck’s Johnny Howard and Teague’s Grayson Dancer each earned their region tournament berths in the final round of the District 20-3A Tournament Monday at Tri-County Golf Club in Teague.

Hand signs with University of Arkansas Rich Mountain

Rowdy Hand, a senior at Fairfield High School, signed his letter of intent to continue his baseball career at the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain (UARM) on Friday, March 22. Hand will play middle infield for the Bucks in Mena, Arkansas for the 202425 and 2025-26 seasons.
