Third-quarter surge pushes Mexia past Eagles, 66-56

The Fairfield boys’ basketball team stayed with Mexia throughout most of their game Tuesday afternoon, but the visiting Blackcats held the Eagles to eight points in the third quarter and went on to a 66-56 victory in Fairfield.
