Neil Cantrell, age 77, of Buffalo, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, the 18th day of September, 2019. He was born on the 17th day of September, 1942, in Pound, Virginia, to Daniel Glen Cantrell and Zelma Robinson Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his sons and grandkids immensely and was very proud of each one. He worked in the construction industry and was a hard worker. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting. Mr. Cantrell was a faithful Christian and member of Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Zelma Cantrell and sister, Barbara Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Clarice Wright Cantrell; sons, Lewis Daniel “Danny” Cantrell and wife Moni of Oakwood, John Perry Cantrell and wife Alicia of Spring; grandchildren, Kellen Cantrell, Kinsley Cantrell and their mother Lana Cantrell, Addie Cantrell, Eve Cantrell and Harrison Cantrell. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services for Neil Cantrell were conducted at half past ten o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 21st day of September, 2019, at Calvary Christian Center, 10856 Highway 79 E., Oakwood, Texas 75855. Bro. Jack Smith officiated. Interment followed in Dew Cemetery in Dew, Texas. Friends were cordially invited to visit with the family and share memories from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 20th day of September, 2019, at Calvary Christian Center. Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Steve Pate, Kevin Pate, Richie Pate, Landon Wright, Nathan McWhorter and Julio Sierra.
