    Eagles’ season comes to close in Area round defeat
The Fairfield Eagles’ 2019 campaign came to an end Friday night in Mesquite, as the squad dropped an Area round matchup in the 2019 UIL State Championships to Gilmer, 56-35. With the loss, the Eagles end the season 7-5, going 3-3 in district play and 1-1 in the postseason.
