Blackcats win Homecoming game over Madisonville

Friday was a special night at Blackcat Field. And the Mexia football team put a cherry on top of the Homecoming festivities with a 37-30 victory over Madisonville in the opening District 8-4A, Division II game for both teams. The win improved Mexia’s record to 2-2 overall. Madisonville dropped to 2-3. Fueled by a large, raucous crowd and the presence of a number of members from Mexia’s 1989…
