The Mexia Blackcats come out of the gate flying in their home-opener Friday night and blasted Teague, 49-22, in a non-district football game. The victory evened Mexia’s record at 1-1 after an opening-night loss at Cameron Yoe. Teague dropped to 0-2, after losing its opener to No. 2-ranked Malakoff.
