A petition to force a rollback election for Fairfield Hospital District’s tax rate was turned in last week, and appears to have enough signatures to force formal voter approval.
The petition, submitted Dec. 3, contained 691 signatures, 22 of which have been invalidated, leaving 669 valid signatures.
The petition required 605 to force the election.
