A look at released STAAR scores for Fairfield ISD shows results that vary as much as the students who take the standardized tests, with end-of-course exams at the high school level topping the passing percentages.
Fairfield students also performed especially well in fifth-grade science, at 19 percentage points above state average; and fourth-grade reading, at 9 percent above state levels.
