Eight whiz kids from Fairfield High School are traveling to Austin later this week to compete at the state level in University Inter scholastic League academic competitions, covering topics including literary criticism, computer science, mathematics, science, and computer applications.
The contestants competed at the regional meet April 23 at Blinn College in Brenham.
