While one look at the box score can tell Fairfield fans that the team’s 5-1 start has gotten a boost from a potent rushing offense, the Eagles’ defense has been making a difference.
The team has held their two district opponents, Lorena and Madisonville, to 21 and 15 points, respectively. Led by veterans and newcomers alike, the Eagles have tackled opponents for loss 27 times thus far.
