Crossfit event in Mexia works to raise funds for police memorial group

In Venice, Calif., there is a section of sand by the ocean called Muscle Beach where people lift weights and work out. Mexia doesn’t have any beaches, but on Saturday a blocked-off section of Commerce might have been termed Muscle Street. Twelve teams of two each lifted weights and did exercises as part of Crossfit Mexia’s first-ever competition in the Fourth Annual Dallas 5 Throwdown…
