The Wortham football team will make its first foray into the postseason playoffs since 2012 after dismantling Meridian, 44-0, at Bulldog Field on Friday night.
The win improved Wortham’s record to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in District 11-2A, Division II with two regular-season games remaining.
Meridian dropped to 0-8 overall and 0-3 in district. They have scored just one touchdown all season.
