PABLO CONTRERAS

Pablo Contreras, 68, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 in Tyler.

A Funeral Mass was held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Juan Saldinas as celebrant.

A viewing and visitation followed the Mass at Capps Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Contreras was born March 22, 1952 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to parents, Evaristo Contreras Palacio and MA Bernardina Yepez Ramirez. He had been a Freestone County resident for 46 years and was the former owner of Texas Fence Co.

He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He was known for his love of the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Juan Contreras.

Left to cherish his memory is he wife Inez of Fairfield; five children, Pablo Contreras, Jr. of Arlington; Jose Contreras of Fairfield; Alvaro Contreras and wife Tonie of Crowley; Jessica Contreras of Fairfield; Esmeralda Rigdon and husband Joel of Havana, KS; two brothers, Cecario and Crecencio Contreras both of Mexico; five sisters, Leona Contreras of Fairfield; Eusevia Fraga of Teague; Petra, Isabel and Celca Contreras all of Mexico; seven grandchildren.
