Mary Imogene Dawson Ferguson, passed away Feb. 8, 2021.

She was born June 16, 1937 in Freestone County. She married Billy Bert Ferguson Dec. 24, 1952.

She lived in the Freestone area her whole life of 83 years.

She was a member of the Lanely United Methodist Church.

She worked at the dew school 43 years, 1977- 2020.

She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Bert Ferguson; parents, Roy Finis Dawson and Hazel Lorene Foster Dawson; son, John Anthony (Tony) Ferguson; great grandchildren, Colton Lee Whiteside, Triston Lee Whiteside, Trenton Lee Bragg.

She is survived by Dickie Ferguson and wife Pam, Cindy Ferguson, Susan Ferguson, Sandra Bragg and husband Robert, Jason Cooley. Sisters, Dorothy Nance and husband David, Charlene Little and husband Jody. Brother, Billy Dawson and wife Faye. Grandchildren, Dickie Ferguson Jr, James Ferguson and wife Melissa, Mary Jean Ferguson Balderas and husband Albert, Natalie Ezell, Felina Bremer and husband Viktor, Paul Ferguson, Jeff Whiteside and wife Tina, Chad Whiteside, Jesse Whiteside, Kallista Chavers and husband Lucas, Dustin Braggand and wife Sierra, Rhiannon Flannery and husband Chris, Healey Webb and husband TJ, Blake Cooley. Great Grandchildren, Samantha Ferguson, Ashley Ferguson, Micah Mount, Caleb Mount, Jeremiah Mount, Christina Ferguson, Joyce Ferguson, Aiden Whiteside, Weston Whiteside, Nevaeh Bragg, Robert Bragg, Jaeden Flannery, Wyatt Flannery, Sara Flannery, Nathaniel Munoz, Riley Portillo, Lauren Luna, Phoebe Portillo-Hanzelka, Laila Joliff-Hanzelka, Gunner Webb, Roper Webb. Great Great Grandchildren, Milania and Isabella Ferguson, Brett Ferguson. Sister in law, Joann Lane Barker and husband John. Cousin Emma Copeland, aunt Emma was like a sister to Imogene.

Visitation took place Sunday, Feb. 21 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Monday, Feb. 22 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Bubba Rutherford officiating. Burial followed at Dew Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her children and grandchildren carrying her to her final rest place the way she carried and cared for them her entire life.

Honorary pallbearers were Sam Nance, Lloyd Lane, Lynnie Lane, Roy Hagen, Randy Dawson Jr., Lloyd Owen, Rickey Hayes.
