James S. Parker, born November 13, 1947, the first born of eight children to the late John and Rowenia Parker:

He was a proud alumni of Rosenwald High School class of 1967. Shortly after graduating. He began his life journey in Dallas, Texas. He attended Dallas County Community College and Dallas Baptist University.

He worked at S&H Green Stamp Company for two years; thereafter culminating his career with The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. There, he served over 34 years, until his retirement in 2003. He moved to Fairfield, Texas and worked as a substitute teacher and a bus monitor for approximately three years.

As a devoted member of the Catholic Church, in Dallas he attended Our Lady of Guadalupe, and served as Usher; and served on the Finance Committee for many years; in Fairfield, TX at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, he participated in many church and community activities. Widely known for his contribution to fundraisers; his specialty was baking and donating his “Crazy Cakes,” a church and community favorite.

He joined and participated in organizations such as Free Mason (Masonic Lodge), and Knights of Columbus.

His dedication to faith and family moves the Parker family to say not in grief he is no more - but live in thankfulness that he was.
