At a special meeting of the Fairfield Hospital District board held Thursday, the board approved the proposed 2020-21 FHS budget and approved a tax rate of $0.185 per $100 taxable value. The rate is three cents lower than the previous tax rate. The approved budget will require less total property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $343,228, a 14 percent reduction.
