Chefs smoke out competition at BBQ Cook-Off

  • The Cornerstone Full Gospel Church of Fairfield hosted the eighth annual Bar-B-Que cook-off at the Civic Center (Green Barn) on Aug. 17. Ten teams were selected out of all entries, and categories were beef brisket, pork ribs, cooks’ choice and chicken. A pinto bean cook-off also took place, with entrants cooking at least one quart of beans. The entry fee for each four-person team was $100.
