An official date and location has been set in the high-profile trial of Dabrett Black, the man accused of fatally shooting Department of Public Safety Trooper Damon Allen on Thanksgiving Day 2017.
During a status hearing at the Freestone County Courthouse last Thursday afternoon, Black’s trial will take place August 3, 2020, with the trial being moved from Freestone to Brazos County.
