Betty French

Betty French was born in Corsicana Texas on March 28, 1927 and passed from this life on Friday, October 25, 2019 in Waco, Texas. Betty married Claude French on Sept 22, 1945, and shared 52 years of marriage together in Teague. She was preceded in death by Claude, her parents Sam and Vera Jernigan, her son Jackie French, sonin-law Butch Plemons & all siblings (Sammy Jo Adams, Clark Jernigan, Buddy Jernigan, Hollis Jernigan & Billie Tinnin).

She is survived by daughter Jean Anne Plemons & daughter in law Kathy French. Grandkids: Jimmy Plemons, Sandy Hennesey, Traci Plemons, Lori French, & Erin Kubala. Great grandkids: Emily Plemons, Haley Plemons, Bailey Hennesey, Laynee Plemons, Coy Plemons, Maddey Hennesey, Kate Hagaman, & Briggs Kubala. Great great grandkids: Fynlee Plemons & Jaxx Zarate and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was the longest active member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. She was the number one fan of all of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, & great great grandkids. She would happily attend any sporting event, birthday party, church event, or activity the grandkids participated in.

Visitation was held Oct. 28 at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. A celebration of her life followed with Bro. Roy Prather officiating. Burial took place at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague with Bill Tinnin, David Tinnin, Coy Plemons, Mario Medina, Troy Brown and Colby Kubala serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Beene and Charles Bonner.

We will miss her Thanksgiving dinners, sausage balls, domino & card games, her feisty spirit, & her loving heart. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Freestone Cancer Support Group at PO Box 1522 Fairfield, Texas 75840.
