The Fairfield Eagles moved to 2-0 on the season Friday night, defeating Brownsboro 14-6 in a hard-fought contest.

With the game coming down to the final minutes, the Eagles' work on the defensive end saved the contest.

The Bears had the ball on the Eagles' 36-yard line with 1:50 left in the fourth quarter, but promptly coughed up a fumble seven seconds later, recovered by Senior Lex Thompson.

Three kneel-downs by Quarterback Justin Abram (who scored both from the air and on the ground Friday) later, and the Eagles left hostile territory with a win for the second straight week.

Next up for the squad is the home opener against Athens, taking place Sept. 13 at 7:30. It will also be Parent's Night.
